Local early intervention and diagnosis resources
For children under age 3, the Howard County Infants and Toddlers Program provides early intervention. For preschool-age children, Howard County Public School System’s Child Find process evaluates children for special education. If your child has not yet received a medical autism diagnosis, our team can explain the process and help coordinate a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation.

Common questions from Howard County families
What ages do you serve?
We work with children and young people with autism. Maryland Medicaid covers ABA for eligible members under age 21, and commercial plans vary, so we review your coverage during intake.
How is progress measured?
Data is collected every session, and your BCBA reviews progress with your family regularly. Treatment plans are formally reassessed at least every six months.
Start dates depend on insurance authorization and staff availability in your area. Our intake team will give you a realistic timeline on your first call.
