Getting started

How to start ABA therapy

Enrolling in ABA can feel overwhelming, with evaluations, insurance requirements, and paperwork. Our intake team handles the details and keeps you informed at every step.

Six steps from first call to first session

  1. Reach out to our team. Call, send a message, or schedule an intake call. We listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and explain what ABA therapy involves.
  2. Diagnosis support. If your child has not been evaluated yet, we explain the process, connect you with a qualified diagnostic provider, and coordinate with your pediatrician.
  3. Insurance verification. We verify your Medicaid or commercial benefits and explain your coverage in plain language before anything begins.
  4. Assessment and treatment plan. A BCBA meets your child, completes a comprehensive assessment, and builds an individualized plan with your family.
  5. Authorization. We prepare the required documentation, submit the treatment plan to your insurance, and follow up until it is approved.
  6. Begin services. Therapy begins on a schedule that fits your family, and our team stays with you for caregiver training and progress reviews.

What to have ready

If available, please have your insurance card, your child’s diagnostic evaluation report, and any recent school or IEP documents. If you do not have every item, that is perfectly fine. We will help you gather what is needed.

How long does it take?

Timelines depend on your insurance authorization and staff availability in your area. During your first call, our intake team will give you a realistic estimate and keep you informed at every stage.
